Fun wooden tops. It is a 3 pieces toy with different sizes and bright colors and when they roll it makes a curious optical effect and presents a physical non intuitive behavior. When this spinning top rotates on its base ball, the axis of symmetry begins to lean until, in a sharp slatyo,the spinning top is reversed and begins to turn more slowly over the stem. A very similar behavior occurs when we do turn a boiled egg. It is the perfect gift forchildren over 3 years old.
The koma became especially popular during the Genroku period (1688-1704)and was so successful that attempted to regulate the game and, above all,betting, so at the end of the period Tokugawa (1603-1866) had become alreadya game almost solely for children.
